AMY ROSe EVENTS

Amy Rose Weddings + Events is a full service boutique event design + coordination company specializing in bright and colorful weddings for creative couples. Based in Los Angeles, Amy Rose Events was founded by Amy Voorhees in 2018 and she needed a new website and a color palette to match her new logo in order to bring together her vision for her business.

In spring 2019, I worked with Amy to design her website from scratch and help her build a color palette that would complement her new logo. The site launched July 2019.

something old + something new

Before our initial conversations, Amy had held a photo shoot to build a gorgeous stock library of images for her new site. She asked me to create her new site around these images, which would help put a face to the name for her clients. The design I came up with is bright, modern, and photo-driven, with parallax scrolling to make a user’s experience come to life. Because Amy’s vibe is very upbeat and fun, I also added a slim border around the edges of the screen to give it a little bit of quirk!

love notes + galleries

One of Amy’s goals in building this new site was to create a space where she could showcase her past work. To do this, I built a custom page where she could display testimonials from her recent clients and easily update it as more happy customers send her love. I also created a gallery page for her to display images from past client events.

a whimsical, vibrant palette

Amy and I worked together to come up with a direction for brand’s color palette, and from there, her graphic designer went to work on designing her logo. After I saw the logo, I tweaked the color palette to include more bright, vibrant colors that would work well together on all her materials, not just her website. This is what we came up with…
